Technical Infomation
When a steel insulated door is manufactured and a window is to be inserted in the door (i.e. French door, patio door) the manufacturer must cut the center of the door out in order to insert the window. This creates a cut-out panel approx. 35″x22″. This panel has 28 gauge metal on both sides as well as 1 3/4″s of R12 insulation sandwiched in the center. We receive these new panels and through a process we developed, the panels are cleaned, grooved, and interlocked together to make our shed.
No. the panels we use comes from brand new steel doors.
Yes, our sheds are made from panels generated as a by-product of the outside Steel Door Industry. Each insulated panel is a 1¾ inch block of R12 foam insulation sandwiched between white powder coated & primed 28-gauge galvanized metal that we re-cycle into the basic building-block of our product line. This process can be better explained in one of our videos located on our home page.
